A Working Fly Shop on the River
I operate a small fly shop in St. Regis, Montana, right near the confluence of the Clark Fork River and the St. Regis River.
It’s a working shop — a place where flies are tied, river conditions get discussed, and anglers stop in before or after a day on the water.
The shop keeps me close to what’s happening on the river throughout the season.
Flies for These Rivers
Most of the flies you’ll find here are selected specifically for the rivers I guide.
Patterns change through the year depending on flows, insect activity, and how fish are behaving that week. Some are tied in the shop. The focus is on patterns that work locally.
What You’ll Find in the Shop
The shop carries a practical selection of gear and flies for fishing the area:
flies for the Clark Fork, St. Regis, and Bitterroot
leaders and tippet
floatant and small accessories
basic fly fishing gear
It’s not a large retail store. The focus is on the essentials anglers need for these rivers.
Helpful River Info
Anglers often stop in to ask about current conditions.
I keep an eye on the rivers throughout the season — flow levels, clarity, and general fishing conditions — and I’m always happy to point people in the right direction.
If you’re planning to fish the area on your own, the shop is a good place to start.
Guided Fishing Trips
Many anglers who visit the shop also end up fishing a day with me on the river. If you’re interested in a guided trip, we can talk through timing and river options while you’re here.
Guided trips are typically run on:
